Getting Started:
Re-annotation Tasks

Re-annotation Tasks / Frames

After finishing keyframe annotation, our system will generate re-annotation tasks using mask propagation and error detection based on the masks and categories you selected. These tasks involve correcting frames with issues such as missing masks, incorrect masks, or wrong labels. Our error detection system will highlight possible issues but might miss some or mark false positives. Correct these issues to a quality level that you find acceptable.

Re-annotation tasks and frames will continue to appear until all frames of the video are annotated. You can view your progress in the Timeline at the bottom of the task (green means annotated) or in the Pipelines tab (in an open Project).

How to dismiss or resolve issues

After initial annotation review is complete, you can continue with annotation tasks by clicking Open.

To the right of the frame is the Tasks sidebar. It gives hints regarding what should be checked and/or corrected.

After Resolving all known issues or Dismissing false positives, the re-annotation frame can be submitted.

After clicking on Submit, you will be taken to the next re-annotation keyframe and task until all tasks are completed.

How to edit object masks

Sometimes during mask propagation, object masks will be incorrect and in need of manually editing.

Note: See How to create a mask for help creating or editing object masks.

Enter the mask editor by selecting the object on the canvas. The AI Selection tool will be preselected.

Delete the old / erroneous mask by pressing E. Repeat the process of creating a new mask using the AI Selection tool and click Save Mask.

How to complete re-annotation tasks

When all re-annotation tasks are resolved and mask errors are edited or corrected the data will again be processed and masks propagated. The re-annotation process will repeat until all frames in a document are completely annotated.
