Documents

Documents serve two key purposes:

  • As input data for chatbot or context-based agent development.
  • As source material for generating vocabularies and annotation categories.

Uploading Documents

Coming Soon

You’ll soon be able to upload documents such as PDFs, manuals, or SOPs directly through the LibraryDocuments section.

Until this feature is fully released, please contact support@ramblr.ai for document uploads.

Uploading Plain Text

  1. Go to LibraryDocuments.
  2. Click Upload in the upper right corner.
  3. Fill out the upload form and confirm to start the upload.

Vocabulary

A vocabulary defines the categories and activities used for both human and machine annotations. It ensures consistency and precision by guiding how objects, actions, or events are identified during annotation.

You can either:

  • Use predefined categories from the built-in open-world vocabulary, or
  • Create your own custom categories tailored to your specific use case.

Create a Vocabulary

  1. Go to LibraryVocabularies and click New Vocabulary.
  2. Enter a name and description.
  3. Click the newly created vocabulary, then select Edit.

Add Categories

  • Type into the Add a category field (e.g., kettle, mug, stove).
  • Suggestions from the open-world vocabulary may appear, these include synonyms and descriptions. Use them if they fit your purpose.
  • If no suggestion appears, create a new category manually.
  • You can add synonyms and descriptions in the panel on the right for each category.

Add Activities

  • Open the Activities tab in the same vocabulary.
  • Add activities (e.g., specific work steps) just like categories.
  • Activities help guide annotators and AI systems during annotation.

Add Relations and Attributes

Coming Soon

You’ll soon be able to define custom relations and attributes directly within your vocabulary. This allows you to limit automatic generation during annotation to only the structures you’ve predefined — speeding up the annotation process and reducing manual work.

By constraining AI outputs to your defined relations and attributes, you ensure consistent, reliable annotations and avoid potential model hallucinations.

Link the Vocabulary to a Project

  1. Go to your project.
  2. Open SettingsAnnotation ScopeVocabulary.
  3. Select your vocabulary and enable Use vocabulary suggestions.

Once linked, the vocabulary remains editable. Any updates are reflected automatically during annotation.

Auto-Generated Vocabularies

Coming Soon

Auto-generate your vocabulary (object categories, activities, relations and attributes) based on provided manuals, instructions, and PDFs.
